Many Bangladesh Factories are Unstable: Local Bangladeshi engineers have conducted a survey on the stability of the country’s garment factories, inspired by the devastating collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in Dhaka this past April. The leader of the investigation, Professor Mehedi Ansary, noted that there are likely many unstable factories that will continue to go unnoticed. "This doesn't mean they will collapse in the next week or month, but it does mean that to leave them unchanged would be irresponsible," Ansary told The Guardian. [The Guardian]
