Piglets on Sgt. Majors Beach in the Bahamas’ Exuma island district.

The island of Big Major Cay, in the central part of The Bahamas, is famous for its cheerful wild swimming pigs. These serene beasts swim every day in the crystal-clear waters and show off their piggy-paddle to the thousands of visitors who journey to their beach to see the wild creatures making a splash in the beautiful turquoise sea.

This collection of photographs shows pigs that are remarkably well adapted to their beach-bum lifestyle, frolicking in the water and relaxing on the sand.
