The Guinness World Records has released the 13 most buzzworthy records broken in 2013. Here is the list, in no particular order, but I know who my winner is. All hail Colonel Meow!

Oldest Living Person

Japan’s 115-year-old Misao Okawa was born in 1898. That’s before Titanic. Or World War I. Or the 20th century. She took the title after fellow Japanese Koto Okubo passed away on Jan. 12, 2013, at the age of 115 years and 19 days. Misao lives in Osaka and remains in good health, surrounded by six great-grandchildren.

Betty White: Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female)

Betty White has continued working in show business for 74 years, and in 2013 she not only had a birthday special on NBC but did the voiceover for a character in the Disney Channel show Mickey Mouse. The 91-year-old made her debut in 1939.

Smallest Roadworthy Car

Austin Coulson of Phoenix, Arizona, created a car that’s 2 feet 1 inches high, 2 feet 1.75 inches wide, and 4 feet and 1.75 inches long. Its license plate reads “IM BIG” and can reach 25 miles per hour.

Longest Basketball Shot

Thunder Law of the Harlem Globetrotters sank a 109-feet-and-9-inches shot at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona, on Nov. 11, on Guinness World Records Day.

Colonel Meow: Longest Fur on a Cat

Colonel Meow is just 2 years old, but his owners dare not disobey his orders to brush his 9-inch-long fur two to three times a week. He is a Himalayan-Persian crossbreed who lives with his owners Anne Marie Avey and Eric Rosario in Los Angeles. “Literally everything in the house has hair on it, including us,” Avey says.
