When it comes to losing my phone, I'm an expert. It constantly lives in couch cushions, in dresser drawers, and under piles of mail picked up from the mailbox. And, it's usually on vibrate, which doesn't bode well for finding it in a panic.
Downloading the Tile app and putting one on my keys (and having a better ability of keeping track of those than my phone) allowed me to cut down on the time spent digging through piles of clothes and checking under pillows. But, while Tile has grown to be a well-known Bluetooth tracker brand, their biggest flaw was the fact that you have to replace the whole damn thing after a year, when it automatically runs out of juice. Until now.
The brand recently launched their newest generation of Tile Pros and and Tile Mates now have replaceable batteries. Just swap out the battery after the year is up, instead of then entire Tile itself). The Pro uses CR2032 batteries, while the Mate takes CR1632 ones, both easily found at places like CVS, Best Buy, or on Amazon.
