Behold the eternal optimism of Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump’s new campaign manager.Among Conway’s unenviable new responsibilities: the duty to paint a rosy picture of her candidate whenever she’s on TV. But Conway goes beyond rosy. Her descriptions of the famously tactless GOP presidential nominee are so hyperbolically positive, her euphemisms so clearly stretched to the breaking point, that one wonders while watching her if she’s talking about the same Donald Trump that the rest of us have seen and heard. Here, a sampling of Conway’s magnificently Pollyannaish pronouncements, coupled with clips of Trump—not the “authentic Trump” she tells us about, but actual, real-life, “I’d like to punch him in the face” Trump.
