        Women in the World Social Media Engagement: Get Social!

        From Facebook to Twitter to Tumblr to Pinterest, connect with us to learn how you can get involved—and follow us to join the conversation online during the summit.

        We're excited to see you at our summit this year! Whether you’re attending in person, or following along online, our social media team wants to share the many ways you can get involved and keep up with news about the summit.

        Women in the World Channel

        Read stories about the challenges facing women and girls around the globe, discover women of impact and learn the latest summit news.

        Twitter

        Leading up to the summit, we are hosting weekly one-hour Twitter chats on women's issues using the hashtag #wiwchat.

        During the summit, we encourage live-tweeting using the hashtag #wiw12. We will also be using #wiw12 on Twitter for news leading up to the Summit.

        If you're active on social media and plan to tweet at the event, please take a minute to let us know your Twitter information so we can add you to our list of participants.

        They say it takes a village, but sometimes it just takes one woman. We’re collecting your stories of women who have discovered solutions for some of today’s most urgent challenges through The Problem, the Solution, and the Woman social-media campaign. If you've been inspired by a woman working for change, we'd love to learn about her. You can also tweet her story using the hashtag #onewoman.

        We'll be uploading the best moments from the Summit to our Women in the World 2012 YouTube playlist. BeastTV will also broadcast exclusive interviews with our inspiring panelists and guests.

        Livestream

        An embeddable livestream of the summit is available here. The entire event will also be livestreamed on The Daily Beast and the Women in the World Facebook page.

        Toyota Solutions Studio

        If you’re attending the summit, please take advantage of the Toyota Solutions Studio, a dedicated Wi-Fi lounge. A video station and videographer will be available to tape interviews and/or help you create video content. Visitors to the studio will also have access to a professional photographer, and you can upload any video or photos using the computers in the studio.

        Women in the World Foundation

        The Women in the World Foundation was born out of Newsweek & The Daily Beast’s Women in the World Summit. The foundation is dedicated to highlighting and driving solutions for advancing women and girls, and serves as a resource to all who seek to learn about and engage on the issues the 51 percent face. In addition, the foundation convenes courageous women of impact, provide strategic grants to select nonprofit organizations, and foster much-needed collaboration between organizations.
