Is this the final dealbreaker? Alec Baldwin has revealed that when he leaves his hit NBC sitcom 30 Rock after next season, the series will also come to an end. “I will tell you one thing," Baldwin said at the National Dance Institute’s annual fundraising gala, where he was being honored. "And that is our show next year is our last year of the show." Baldwin has long said that he would leave 30 Rock in 2012, but this is the first report that the series would end its run the same year. Representatives for both the show’s creator, Tina Fey, and 30 Rock declined to comment. “Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing,” Baldwin added. “She's going to be the next Elaine May. She'll be great." Sources told Entertainment Weekly that there have not yet been discussions about 30 Rock’s fate beyond next year. Baldwin did some back peddling on Thursday and took to his Huffington Post blog to say, “I hope 30 Rock goes on forever… Next year hopefully won’t be the last.”
