The anonymous graffiti artist Banksy is known for making political statements through his artwork. His latest project, “Walled Off Hotel,” is no exception. Banksy took over and redesigned an old hotel in Bethlehem, just steps from the wall separating Israel and the Palestinian West Bank, peppering in a variety of provocative imagery. Each room is filled with artwork commenting on the conflict in Israel and Palestine. The hotel will open its doors to guests willing to inhabit the politically charged space.
A general view of a bedroom inside the newly opened “Walled Off Hotel.” The hotel presents to visitors a wonderful attempt at understanding the lives of Palestinians living behind the wall.
