Kendall Jenner to Appear in 'Vogue'; Over 60 Models Arrested in China

And La Perla customers get offended by ribbed mannequins.

Kendall Jenner to Appear in VogueNo one ever imagined a Kardashian would make it to the cover of Vogue. A Jenner, however, doesn’t seem so far-fetched—especially one who recently walked the runways of Giles, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, and Givenchy. People magazine exclusively reported that Kendall Jenner, younger sister to the Kardashian klan, was recently photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for a future feature inside the glossy fashion bible. With Jenner seemingly well on her way to blue-chip status and quickly making connections with fashion’s biggest power players, we wouldn’t be surprised if the 18-year-old model was the next Keeping Up With the Kardashians star to land a cover. Over 60 Models Arrested in China: Chinese officials are now targeting the fashion industry. Recently, over 60 models from the U.S. and Europe have been arrested in the country’s capital, Beijing, during a fake casting call at modeling agency M3. The reason? A majority of the models have tourist visas instead of entertainment visas, which legally allow them to work. So far, four have reportedly been placed behind bars, while the rest face deportation. With tensions high, all visiting models have been advised to stay on high alert, avoid casting calls, and pretend to be a tourist until matters are resolved. [The Telegraph

La Perla Customers Offended by Ribbed Mannequin: Luxury lingerie company La Perla found itself in some hot water with customers after one mannequin seemed to have skipped a few meals. The mannequin, which showcased a full set of exposed ribs, originally appeared at the brand’s New York store in SoHo, but was quickly removed. “We are in the process of redesigning all La Perla stores with a new concept image and the mannequins that are currently displayed in our U.S. stores will no longer be used,” the company said. “We appreciate and value everyone’s comments, thank you for bringing this to our attention.” [Vogue UK
