Anyone fancy a signed collectible portrait of Julian Assange? The WikiLeaks founder is auctioning off several belongings on eBay to raise money for his whistleblower site. Items include a package of prison coffee (starting bid: $315), and the computer used to release the diplomatic cables (starting bid: $6,000). Also up for sale is a diplomatic cable sent by Hillary Clinton to the United Nations and signed by Assange, as well as an “exclusive” photograph of Assange, signed “Julian A, Ellingham Hall, 10 July 2011 while under house-arrest two days before high court appeal at his 40th Birthday party.” Bidding for the picture starts at $947. WikiLeaks, which has seen its funding dry up since the release of the diplomatic cables, says this will be the first of several auctions.
