Looks like even southern California is having a rough winter. A powerful rainstorm triggered a flash flood watch, warnings of 12-foot waves, and even a tornado warning for parts of L.A. County. Foothill communities in the state’s San Gabriel Valley, meanwhile, are being evacuated as mudflows made some hillsides unstable. More rain is on the way for the region, as this weekend is expected to bring up to 3 inches of rain on the coast and up to 10 inches in some mountain areas.
