    Will Forte Leaves SNL

An era has ended: MacGruber, “George Bush,” and political candidate Tim Calhoun will no longer be making us laugh on Saturday nights. Saturday Night Live vet Will Forte will be leaving the show after eight seasons. Forte’s rep said the comedian is “eternally grateful to Lorne [Michaels] and all of the incredible people he worked with over the years.” Before SNL, Forte was a member of the Groundlings comedy troupe and a story editor for 3rd Rock From the Sun and That 70’s Show. He has most recently held guest roles on SNL co-star Tina Fey’s 30 Rock.
