You have to give Sarah Palin credit for visiting someplace the exact opposite of Alaska. The former vice-presidential candidate plans to visit Haiti this weekend as part of a larger attempt to get some foreign-policy cred. Palin will visit the island nation, which has been in the midst of one of the greatest humanitarian catastrophes, with Rev. Franklin Graham as part of his Samaritan’s Purse relief organization. Graham, the son of evangelical pastor Rev. Billy Graham, heads up Samaritan’s Purse, which has maintained a humanitarian presence in Haiti. Palin’s spokeswoman Rebecca Mansour confirmed that Palin will be traveling with her husband, Todd, and their daughter, Bristol, but Mansour said the plans were still fluid.
