    Tucson Shooting Caught on Video

This ought to make the prosecutors’ job pretty easy: The Tucson shooting was caught on camera. Footage from a security camera at the Safeway grocery store shows 22-year-old Jared Loughner shooting Giffords and several other people at close range. Richard Kastigar, the lead investigator says in the video, Loughner “was very deliberate in my estimation, very calculated.” The gunman shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords just above the eyebrow from three feet away before opening fire on the crowd. The footage also shows the heroics of Judge John M. Roll. He stepped in front of a staff member of Giffords as the shooting began. Roll was shot dead; the staffer was shot twice but survived the attack.
