    U.S.: Japan Radiation 'Extremely High'

    The problem may be worse than Japanese officials are saying: The chairman of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission said Wednesday that radiation levels in Japan are “extremely high.” The commission believes that fuel rods at the No. 4 reactor are completely exposed, having completely boiled off all water. The U.S. Embassy in Japan has told Americans to evacuate a radius of 50 miles from the Fukushima nuclear plant.
