Cellphones may be carcinogenic to humans, an international panel backed by the World Health Organization announced Tuesday. The statement was issued by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which is the WHO’s cancer agency. The group had reviewed details from dozens of previously published studies to source its findings. Now the results will be sent to the WHO and national health agencies so that they can decide upon possible guidance for cellphone use.
