Huntsman Launches Campaign

    Jon Huntsman, former ambassador to China under the Obama administration, officially announced his candidacy for the 2012 GOP primary on Tuesday morning, promising to work hard on dealing with the nation's debt. He spoke at Liberty State Park in New Jersey, where Ronald Reagan launched his bid in 1980. Huntsman, the former governor of Utah, called for "broad and bold" changes to tax laws and regulations, and mentioned the importance of creating more jobs and the use of alternate energy sources, though he did not go into specifics.
