Yemeni Protesters Form Council

The protesters calling for the resignation of Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh are attempting to organize. Youth groups have formed a 17-member transitional council that includes former Yemeni President Ali Nasser Mohammed, former Defense Minister General Abdullah Ali Aleiwa, as well as leaders from several opposition groups. It's unclear whether the council will win the support of the loose coalition of opposition parties, or whether it will sway Saleh, who has three times backed out of a Gulf-brokered resignation plan.
