    Bachmann and Perry Speak at Same Event

    It’s about time there was some drama in the GOP presidential race. Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry spoke at the same GOP fundraiser in Iowa Sunday—but they never met, even though they were only a table length apart. First Perry, who would later sit through Bachmann’s 30-minute speech, called himself a job-creating executive ready to fight President Obama. Later, Bachmann reminded everyone of her Iowan roots and gave out an apple pie to a 100-year-old person in attendance. Bachmann was not in the room during Perry’s speech, and prearranged for the lighting in the hall to be dimmed when she took the podium.
