Syria Kills Five Protesters

Activists say Syrian security forces killed five protesters Sunday as the government continued its crackdown against demonstrations in the country. Two people were killed and another nine wounded when soldiers fired on protesters in the northwestern province of Idlib, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. This as the government of President Bashar al-Assad rejected yet another international demand to end the bloodshed, this time from the Arab League.
