Texas Gov. Rick Perry may have taken his bruises at Monday night’s debate, but he did at least manage to pick up the endorsement of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal—a man many conservatives once hoped would run for president himself. "Rick Perry is the candidate who can lead our party to victory in 2012,” Jindal said in a statement. "President Obama promised hope, but he simply hasn’t delivered. Rick Perry will bring our country more than hope—he’ll get America working again." Jindal’s endorsement came the same day that former Minnesota governor and presidential hopeful Tim Pawlenty endorsed Mitt Romney.
