In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Brad Pitt looks back woefully on his marriage with Jennifer Aniston and his life at the time, a subject he has largely avoided discussing since their divorce in 2005. “I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic,” he says. He recalls feeling deeply dissatisfied and adds, “I think my marriage had something to do with it.” Luckily, he’s landed on cloud nine with his life partner Angelina Jolie, with whom he has six kids. “Oh man, I’m so happy to have her,” he gushes. Pitt has since issued a statement claiming his quotes about Aniston were misinterpreted by the media: “The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself—and that, I am responsible for.”
