With Newt Gingrich absent from the ballot, Missouri's upcoming primary election will give Rick Santorum the chance to go head to head with current GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney. Santorum will finally be able to appeal to anti-Romney voters—mostly Tea Partiers and evangelical Christians—without the interference of ideologically similar Gingrich. He will also be given the opportunity to prove that he has what it takes to crush Romney. Unfortunately for Santorum, however, the Republican primary taking place in Missouri next week is nonbinding. The state's official caucus, which will determine who gets its delegates, doesn't take place until next month.
