Cranks See UFOs, Little Green Men

ON MARS - AUGUST 17: In this photo provided by NASA/JPL-Caltech, the surface of Mars is seen from NASA's Curiosity rover front hazard avoidance cameras underneath the rover deck on Sol 0. on August 17, 2012 on Mars. It is likely that Curiosity will begin to begin its ascent at Mount Sharp through hundreds of feet (meters) of layered deposits. The lower several hundred feet (meters) show evidence of bearing hydrated minerals, based on orbiter observations. The terrain Curiosity will explore is marked by hills, buttes, mesas and canyons on the scale of one-to-three story buildings, very much like the Four Corners region of the western United States. In that teeming section of the Internet where dinosaurs walked with humans and Barack Obama’s nation of birth is still an open question, UFO watchers are carefully scanning images sent back by NASA’s Curiosity rover for signs that we are not alone. To the considerable disappointment of most gravity-stricken, jet pack–craving, laser gun–deprived humanoids, however, the blips and blotches mistaken for flying saucers and other extraterrestrial anomalies are more likely to be dead pixels or interstellar dust than another silicon-based life form. Among the more incredible finds amateur online Men in Black have made in the footage are possible evidence of a fossilized finger and a Martian sandal.
