Wal-Mart is following Target’s lead in a recent decision to stop stocking Amazon’s Kindle readers in its stores. Speculation is that the retail giant views Amazon as a competitor and the profit margin on Kindles isn’t enough to make it worthwhile. The move comes as Amazon recently announced a line of five new versions, but Wal-Mart says it will stock a “broad assortment” of other tablets and e-readers. Amazon’s line of e-readers are the top selling electronic reading devices.
