Rockets Strike Southern Israel

    At least 45 rockets have been fired into Israel by Palestinian militants since Saturday, according to Israeli police. The Israeli Air Force responded to the attacks with a series of strikes on sites in the Gaza Strip, where the rockets were thought to be made, stored, and launched. Israel Radio reported that Hamas had claimed responsibility for some of the attacks, which injured three Israelis. Six Palestinians are reported to have been killed in the weekend fighting.
