    ‘Nude Kate’ Tabloid Editor Resigns

A picture taken on September 15, 2012 in Dundalk, Ireland shows an arrangement of Irish newspapers with the front page of the Irish Daily Star and its headline regarding intimate and topless pictures of Britain's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, reprinted inside the newspaper. Britain's royal family on September 15 condemned the "greed" of an Irish newspaper and warned an Italian magazine after it decided to publish topless photographs of Prince William's wife Catherine. The candid snaps appeared in Saturday's Irish Daily Star newspaper, but would not appear in its British or Northern Irish editions, editor Mike O'Kane told the BBC. Tabloid editor Michael O'Kane resigned from the Irish Daily Star on Saturday as a consequence of his decision to publish topless photos of Kate Middleton in the September 15 issue of the paper. The well-publicized scandal, involving shots of Middleton sunbathing on a private vacation, resulted in a threatened shutdown of the tabloid and O'Kane's near-immediate suspension. Now that he's gone, maybe Duchess Kate can put this whole mess behind her.
