Fox News: Petraeus for Prez a Joke

    She was just fooling around, guys! That’s what Fox News commentator Kathleen McFarland is saying about the recent report, supplemented with an audiotape, that she relayed to Gen. David Petraeus that Fox News chief Roger Ailes wanted him to run for president in 2006. “Petraeus and I were having fun,” McFarland wrote on the Fox News website. “It was not a serious conversation plotting General Petraeus’ political future; it was the kind of idle speculation that happens in every campaign season. That’s why they call it the silly season.”
