    Some good news for Tom Cruise—in his professional life, anyway. His futuristic sci-fi epic Oblivion raked in $38.2 million to top the U.S. box office this weekend, exceeding industry expectations. Adult male moviegoers led the way to the theater, comprising 57 percent of viewers. Universal had aggressively targeted a male audience with ads during big sporting events like NCAA March Madness. 42 came in second place for the most recently reported weekend with $18 million. The Croods was No. 3 with $18 million.
