Scrubs star Zach Braff raised $1 million—using Kickstarter—Wednesday to create a sequel to his 2004 film Garden State. Braff said he was inspired to use Kickstarter to fund his film, titled Wish I Was Here, after the campaign for a Veronica Mars movie raised a record-breaking $5 million. Braff said he is “so passionate about this movie,” which would be the first he will have directed since Garden State, which he also wrote.
