Gay Unions in Obama's Immigration Bill?

    President Obama says recognizing same-sex unions in a new immigration bill is “the right thing to do”—but it’s unclear if he’ll act on that statement. Speaking at a press conference in Costa Rica on Friday, the president stopped short of saying he would enforce an amendment including support for gay marriage in the sweeping bill, which is currently pending in Congress. Republicans, including Marco Rubio and others who helped draft the bill, have made it clear that they would turn down any such amendment.
