Was Thursday night’s The Office finale “perfect”? That’s what some critics are saying about the show’s super-size swan song, which saw the surprise return of Michael Scott and sentimental send-offs for all the show’s favorite characters. It’s good news for a series that was ridiculed in the press for a lackluster past few seasons, which lacked the goofy glory of Steve Carell’s Scott. More good news: more than 5.4 million viewers tuned in for the episode, easily making it the highest-rated outing of the season.
