At least his campaign didn’t run one of the photos of Anthony Weiner circulating on the Internet. The disgraced former congressman’s mayoral campaign kicked off Thursday, except the city featured in the backdrop looked a little small. That’s because it wasn’t New York, it was Pittsburgh. His campaign quietly corrected the mistake by about 4 p.m., replacing it with a photo featuring the Empire State Building. Weiner held his first official campaign event on Thursday, meeting with constituents at a subway stop in Harlem and then traveling to the West Village and SoHo. It’s his first foray into politics after resigning in disgrace nearly two years ago when it was revealed he sent crotch photos to women via Twitter.
