McDonald’s Has Big Month

Breaking: people really like cheap food. McDonald’s total same-store sales grew 2.6 percent in the month of May globally. The U.S., where McDonald's has struggled in recent years, was a surprising source of strength. Diners flocked to the Golden Arches for the Dollar Menu, as well as for the new (theoretically healthier) chicken wraps and egg-white breakfast sandwiches.
