Thirty-eight supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood were killed Sunday in a prison riot, security sources told Reuters. The Interior Ministry did confirm that there were deaths after some prisoners tried to escape, but would not give an exact number. Hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood supporters were jailed last week during protests against Egypt’s military rule.
