Sorkin: Hoffman's Death Saved 10

    Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, who has dealt with substance abuse issues of his own, says that Philip Seymour Hoffman once told him, "If one of us dies of an overdose, probably 10 people who were about to won't." Sorkin says that because the death of a celebrity makes news, it might scare somebody to clean up their act. Meanwhile, Michelle Williams, the former girlfriend of Heath Ledger who also died of an overdose, and with whom she had a child, visited Hoffman's grieving family.
