    Hollywood Unites to Save Kodak Film

    Quentin Tarantino, J.J. Abrams, Christopher Nolan, and Judd Apatow have come together to help keep Kodak Film afloat, at least for now. The directors  have launched a campaign to get Hollywood studios to agree to pay for some of bankrupt Kodak’s film processing. Now, a deal to save these capacities and the film processing infrastructure is almost set. Kodak’s sales have dramatically dropped with the rise of digital technology. The company’s profits fell 16 percent over the last decade, and it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last September. Kodak CEO Jeff Clarke said the company is grateful for the Hollywood leaders’ “support and ingenuity in finding a way to extend the life of film."
