Nepal Quake Death Toll Passes 2,300

    As aftershocks roil the country of Nepal on Sunday, the death toll from Saturday’s earthquake has risen to at least 2,300. Hospitals in the country are over capacity, electricity has been turned off, and storage for dead bodies has run out. Helipcopters have been lifting hikers at Mt. Everest to safety, and avalanches triggered by the earthquake killed at least 18 people there, including a Google executive.
