Burundi officials said three generals who launched a failed coup against President Pierre Nkurunziza were arrested Friday, but a fourth coup leader was still at large. Major-General Godefroid Niyombare, who officials said is still on the run, had earlier told AFP that he and his supporters intended to surrender. The failed coup, which left five soldiers dead, came as Nkurunziza launched his bid to seek a third presidential term while he was in Tanzania. Presidential spokesman Gervais Abayeho said among those arrested were two army generals, including former Defence Minister Cyrille Ndayirukiye. Nkurunziza had returned to the country and was expected to address the nation.
