The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will retire all 11 of its touring elephants in May, a year and a half before they were planned to leave the entertainment productions. The Associated Press reported that all of the elephants will be sent to a 100-acre center in Florida for permanent retirement. The plan was moved up by 18 months because enclosures and spaces did not take as long as expected to build.
