A U.S. airstrike in Syria is reported to have killed at least 85 civilians Tuesday after they were mistaken for Islamic State militants, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported. The monitoring group said the bombs hit the ISIS-controlled village Tokhar in northern Syria. Children are said to be among the dead. Eight families were allegedly targeted while they were fleeing. The mistake is considered the deadliest strike on civilians since the U.S. began operations in Syria.
