After claims by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump that the election would be “rigged” and wrought with voter fraud, a new poll has found that 41 percent of voters believe that the election could be “stolen” from Trump. Trump has suggested, without evidence, that voter fraud is widespread, a claim that Republicans such as House Speaker Paul Ryan have distanced themselves from. The poll, conducted by Politico and Morning Consult, also found that 73 percent of Republicans surveyed said they think the election could be stolen from Trump, while 17 percent of Democrats believe there will be widespread voter fraud.
