Malaysian authorities have announced they won’t release the body of assassinated North Korean Kim Jong Nam—who was was reportedly ordered killed by his half-brother, dictator Kim Jong Un—without a DNA sample from a family member. Kim was killed Monday in an alleged poisoning at the Kuala Lumpur airport, where two women reportedly attacked him. South Korean intel officials have said Kim Jong Un ordered his sibling’s death as early as 2011, when he first seized power. Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder, and North Korean officials tried to stop an autopsy from taking place. They failed in that endeavor and are now attempting to bring the body back to Pyongyang. One of Kim’s many children could claim the body, said Khalid Abu Bakar, the police inspector general. But it will not be released until a family member supplies a matching DNA sample. The South Korean military will reportedly use loud speakers to blast news of Kim's assassination into North Korea, which is often shielded from outside news.
