Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called on the international community Friday to sanction North Korea for sinking a South Korean warship in March. The question is, will anyone listen? China, so far, has been reluctant to call out its North Korean ally, while it is unclear what South Korea is willing to do, faced with a promise of “all-out war” from its neighbor if it retaliates. North Korea is also already under several United Nations sanctions. "Let me be clear. This will not be, and cannot be, business as usual,” Clinton said without detailing specific action. “There must be an international—not just a regional, but an international—response." Clinton is due to travel to China next before meeting with South Korean leaders to conclude her Asia trip.
