The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC) freed 10 soldiers and police officers Monday. The group claimed that these individuals, who had all been held for at least 12 years, were the last captives they were holding. A Red Cross spokeswoman said that the released captives would be arriving on a Brazilian air-force helicopter emblazoned with the organization’s logo. FARC recently said that as a goodwill gesture, it would stop ransom kidnappings.
