Bill Cosby will not address the sexual assault allegations made against him, according to a statement released by his attorney. It is the first, and apparently only, comment Cosby has made regarding the accusations that recently resurfaced after comedian Hannibal Buress claimed Cosby was a rapist in one of his sets. The comedian already refused to discuss the claims on NPR and canceled an appearance on David Letterman's late night show. “Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true. Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment,” read the statement from his attorney, John P. Schmitt. “He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives.”
