The NFL’s first openly gay player, Michael Sam, has a practice squad to call home again. Dallas Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett confirmed Wednesday morning that Sam will be signed to his team’s squad, provided he passes his physical. Sam was dropped from the St. Louis Rams last weekend, after being selected in the seventh round of the NFL draft. “We feel like he has a chance to come in at a position we have tried to address and compete for a spot,” Garrett said.
