The Justice Department released a report Tuesday revealing that the agency is unprepared to coordinate a response to an attack with weapons of mass destruction. "It is critical that the department address the deficiencies identified in our report so that it would be better prepared to respond if such an attack occurs,” said DOJ Director Glenn Fine in a statement. For example, no one at the department is named responsible for central oversight or management after an attack. A bipartisan commission graded the administration and Congress' preparation for a biological attack back in January, and they both received an "F." The FBI, however, provides training for its staff for WMD attacks, the only division of the DOJ to do so.
