Wednesday’s two-hour season finale of Empire was watched by an estimated 16.5 million viewers—and that’s not even counting how many will stream it over the next few days. The Fox hit’s ratings have climbed every consecutive week and it has the largest share of black viewers under 50 of anything on television, including the Super Bowl.
