Facebook is reportedly in talks to acquire Titan Aerospace for $60 million to build 11,000 of unmanned aerial vehicles to provide blanket Internet coverage to parts of the world without access, starting with Africa. Facebook is one of the main backers of the Internet.org initiative, which seeks to bring Internet acess to the 5 billion people in the world who lack it. Of course, Facebook's drone move isn't about charity: Spreading Internet access would open up billions of new customers to products like Facebook and WhatsApp.
